What to do if SQLite3 version error occurs?
# What should I do if a SQLite3 version error is prompted? On some operating systems (such as `CentOS 7`), running with the `SQLite3` database produces the following error message: `django.core.exceptions.ImproperlyConfigured: SQLite 3.8.3 or later is required (found 3.7.17).` This indicates that the `sqlite3` version bundled with the operating system is too old, and the system's `sqlite3` needs to be upgraded. The following is one method, from [StackOverlow](https://stackoverflow.com/questions/55674176/django-cant-find-new-sqlite-version-sqlite-3-8-3-or-later-is-required-found): ## 1. Download the new version of `SQLite3` ``` wget https://www.sqlite.org/2019/sqlite-autoconf-3290000.tar.gz ``` ## 2. Extract the file ``` tar zxvf sqlite-autoconf-3290000.tar.gz ``` ## 3. Enter the extracted directory ``` cd sqlite-autoconf-3290000 ``` ## 4. Configure the installation directory ``` ./configure --prefix=$HOME/opt/sqlite ``` ## 5. Compile and install ``` make && make install ``` ## 6. Specify environment variables ``` export PATH=$HOME/opt/sqlite/bin:$PATH export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$HOME/opt/sqlite/lib export LD_RUN_PATH=$HOME/opt/sqlite/lib ``` ## Verification After completion, you can run the `sqlite3 --version` command to check the current `SQLite3` version.
