# 2.7.1 User Registration

The prerequisite for accessing the user registration page is that the administrator of the MrDoc site has enabled the user registration feature; otherwise, accessing the URL link of the registration page will return a 404 page.

At the same time, if the administrator has enabled the registration code feature, then user registration requires filling in the correct registration invitation code, and the other steps are the same as normal user registration.

## 1. Accessing the User Registration Page

When not logged in, hover the mouse over the user icon on the right side of the page header to bring up the registration and login buttons. Click the registration button to go to the user registration page:

At the same time, we can also directly access the registration link: domain/user/register/

The user registration page is shown in the figure below:

If the administrator has set "disable open registration", then there will be no registration button on the page, and the registration link will also not be accessible.

## 2. Filling Out the Registration Form

MrDoc user registration requires the user to provide the information in the form shown in the figure above, including:

- Username
- Email address
- Password
- Verification code

Among these, the username and email address are unique throughout the entire MrDoc application, and the password cannot be less than 6 characters. If any piece of information is entered incorrectly, a corresponding prompt will be displayed, as shown in the figure below:

## 3. Successful Registration

After the information is entered correctly, MrDoc will create a new user and automatically log them in, then redirect to the document list homepage of the MrDoc site.
